How to Join the USPTA

Steps to Professional Certification

The following steps apply to applicants and Professional-level membership categories:

1. Complete the application form. Since there are different experience requirements for each Professional level, be sure to include work experience. Click here for an application.

2. Choose a test date and site and include the information on your application. This will help ensure that you are registered for the test at the time and location of your choice. If you prefer to take portions of the certification online, you may do so by selecting that option on your application.  The CRC is also available online. Enclose the application fee and dues for the year, nonrefundable and prorated to the month in which you apply (see the fee schedule below). Also, you may include your credit card information in your online application. The nonrefundable application fee covers all administrative costs, an e-mail version of The Complete Guide to USPTA Membership, the Certification Review Course, the Certification Exam and test processing. If you would like to purchase a hard copy of The Complete Guide to USPTA Membership for $25, select the option on the application.

3. If paying by check, mail the application and all appropriate fees to the Membership Department at the USPTA World Headquarters.

4. Take the USPTA Certification Exam.
